Poor quality, wish I could turn back the clock wouldn't buy this from house. The floors upstairs are horrible, the paint job is like a 4 year old did it. Ect,Ect

It was a good experience working with LGI Homes, they were updating me every week with the progress of the construction till the moment of closing. I'm giving them a four star overall because of the time it took to finish the house due to the lack of materials because of covid.

The process is easy; there is some delay/communication issues that could be fixed, however everything transitioned very smoothly from renting to owning. Just had to make sure I stayed on it.

From beginning to closing day the process was simple. We're first time buyers with maybe average credit and I don't think it could've went any smoother. The sales team works to get you approved. I highly recommend especially to first time buyers.

I’ve been in the house for over a month now. I like the place and location. Everyone is nice. My only issue is I have been missing a kick plate for my dishwasher, and my back door does not lock. Still waiting for those issues to be addressed.

Overall LGI was good to work with. However, there are some things I wish/hope this developer would do. For example, Saddle Brook will have 88 homes when it's finished but there are absolutely ZERO streetlights here. That's not good. Also, as of this writing, there is no signage indicating the name of the property. Not sure if they will. It would make it easier for guests and delivery drivers to find us. I hope LGI will think about these things in the future. Also, apparently they once had a security guard but have since gotten rid of them. Lastly, use semi-gloss paint throughout.

Good Buying Experience but Low Quality Materials

A very quick and efficient manner selecting the home. The staff was great to work with. However, the materials to build the home are not the highest. For instance, the paint is the lowest quality I have seen in a home. You brush up against it and it automatically puts a mark on the wall. You can't even clean the walls without paint coming off. There are a lot of dry wall mistakes that you can see through the paint as well. The carpet is a low grade and I can already see areas that are showing signs of coming apart. Lastly, the landscaping was rushed and my yard looks like rolling hills.

My experience with LGI has been okay. There were many delays with completion and confusion at closing with amount due. I am not sure if this is typical as this was first home purchase. Once I moved in there were many items overlooked like garage door opener not install, trim not nailed or painted, However with the minor issues I encountered everyone from the sales office staff to groundskeeper to construction manager has been very responsive and helpful in resolving any concerns.

The homes was complete by the time I needed to move. They covered the closing cost and it only took $1K to start the buying process.

Overall, I was very impressed with the LGI home buying experience, as was my relator. It is non-traditional meaning you do not pick ANYTHING in your home but the finishes and such are pretty good as their standard. The process was very well organized, they were communicative and the sales, contractors etc. were all very friendly and professional. There are 3 issues that I have with LGI. 1. Radon testing--we tested our home before closing and the levels were an average of 3x the recommended levels. LGI doesn't care about radon and the high levels. Happy to Own a Home, But Came with Some Flaws

My husband and I bought in October 2021, we hired an inspector and our report came back with multiple different things that should be fixed. We spoke with the construction manager who stated someone in the office had the report and would show him. We also had the wrong outlet installed for our dryer (range installed) and had to have someone come out and replace it. Once I submitted claims for all the items that needed fixing, about a month later the construction manager came and said he’d get on the items that needed fixing (which included several shingles on our roof that needed fixing). ...

They should response well when we have complain on something rather thansayin its a Nature Cause. The soil was moved away by heavy rain before we moved in or before our closing but didnt get it done as they have said, they r not responsible. We have to fix our back yard by our self.
