The beginning of the buying process started out well. The sales rep Raeleen was very helpful Finley and friendly. Putting down the earnest money was fairly easy because Porte ahead Pulte did pretty good online tools. Contracts we signed promises were made to have a home completion around February 2022 timeframe. When February rolled around it was obvious that the house was not going to be completed in the communicated/expected timeline. Every time I pressed for answers about the completion date I kept getting inconsistent information. At one point the house was going to be complete by the end ...

The fact that everybody's biggest concern is to push the project through at all cost and move onto the next one

Buying/building with Pulte has been an absolute joke. Everything from the lending process to the post build expectations. Had I known then what I do now, things would have went a lot differently. So many empty promises and lack of empathy from the company. We have been moved into our house for over a month and there are still a ton of things left unfinished. The company and the project manager expect you to take time out of your schedule to meet with tradesmen, schedule appointments, and see projects through after you've already moved in. 0/10 recommend this company

I am dissatisfied with the overall buying experience. I was definitely being sold but not informed. When changes were made on my property, I was not notified. Once I moved into the home I was disappointed with the finished quality of the product. The construction crew that built my house did not care about having a quality finished product. Shortcuts were taken all over the house. They are putting too many houses up too quickly with poor craftsmanship.

From start to finish we encountered numerous problems. Most being the lack in quality of workmanship. It’s a shame a home owner has to point out problems multiple times and almost harass the company to get anything done. Then when it is done, it still isn’t done properly and we have to once again make a point to show their imperfections. As I understand we are still living through a pandemic and will continue to be for a while now, the excuses we’re getting old and frustrating.

Pulte's lack of responsiveness and truthfulness

Pulte tried to ignore major structural deficiency, tried to force us, the customer, to accept poorly installed LVT floor, installed a garage door if less cost than what was shown at the time of contract signing, left a very dirty garage floor with ingrained dirt and refused to clean, and fraudulently claimed exterior grading and sod installation as weather delayed construction at the time of closing and still have not completed the work 6 weeks after closing. There are several other deficiencies that I do not want to include here for the lack of space and time.

I started my experience with Pulte in April 2021, I was told the house would be completed in September 21 but wasn’t closed until March 22. Numerous problems other than delays. I understand the delays due to the times we are in but when mistakes are made and pointed out without being addressed only to be held up later, that’s completely on Pulte management. Quality materials are okay but workmanship is very subpar, either they can’t get quality workers or they hire the cheapest. At closing I had a list of things to be accomplished and was assured they’d be complete, I even gave the project ...

Don’t expect Pulte to meet their deadlines. 125 days from dig date is a joke. It was almost a year, 345 days, to close. Things were still not finished and it’s now been two months and the exterior finishes are not complete. while I love the layout of our home I do not think the workmanship of the contractors does not equates to the what we paid for. For almost $450,000 we got $250,000 in finishes and workmanship. The painting, plumbing, flooring, etc was sloppily or half completed. Additionally turnover is bad. I will say our last build manager was great to work with and if it had not been ...

I chose this home because of its beautiful kitchen and lay out. In the beginning everything was going smoothly, There was turnover in staff (twice) that left me without a dedicated construction Manager. When it came to finishes, which I had paid dearly for, there is a lot to be desired. Some of the shotty items are, wall plates with pilot holes in wrong places, door edges(bottom)are rough , doors are very cheap. Paint is absolutely terrible, missing caulk in places rough edges on trim etc. I could go on and on but my overall experience was terrible except for my interaction with my original ...

Anyone considering building with Pulte needs to know right away, that the craftsmanship, and attention to detail are not at all what you would expect from a new built house. Paint, trim, fixtures, and cabinets are thrown together with no real care or precision and some details are not finished. At first, the construction manager(s) are responsive and assuring that everything will be taken care of, but often disappear and become disinterested in the latter stages of the build. We built a new home in the Brookfield subdivision and seeing leaks in the basement from day 1. My basement floor stays wet even after running dehumidifier continuously and my insulation on two sides is completely wet! I reported this issue multiple times thru their warranty portal but they have not done anything regarding this issue. Also there were multiple items that we were told that will be completed after closing, field manager opened up all the work orders on the closing date, but even after almost 9 weeks, all of those items are outstanding. The issue is with your subcontractors. The warranty people are great, the lady who sold the house and the project manager were excellent. but your plumbing people since we moved, are having issues. one of the bills I received from the plumbing was rude. I knew I had to pay it because that problem was not his fault at that time, but the bill stated that "he wasted his time finding a leak) ( 3 hours ). then after that other issues appeared that are plumbing. but today is May 6 and we still dealing with them.

We like our new home. We got what we wanted and the quality is very good. The reason for the average rating really had to do with Pulte stopping construction half way through and putting our house on the market. This action was in violation of our purchase agreement. Since we were out of state we were not even told. (We believe they did this since they thought our home in Florida was not going to sell quickly due to COVID-19) They also built our lot up so our driveway is very steep without telling us. We found out when we moved to Kentucky to close on the home. Being out of state during ...

We had a very terrible experience with overall quality and management of our house construction. Nearly two months after purchasing and closing our home and we still have a long list of pending incomplete work that we are not sure whether they would be addressed or not. Shoddy work and mismanagement of the entire process. The quality of the cabinets and wood used was very poor. I've owned a few homes but this was my first build and unfortunately, this whole process has made me not want to build again. It has been very frustrating and almost 2 months after closing I have a list of corrections that I am still waiting to be addressed. At least with preowned homes, you know what you are walking into and what you have to do. I never expected to have to wait on things to be finished or corrected once closing on a brand new build. We bought a home built by pulte at the end of last year. And we’ve had a lot of problems since then. The major ones include broken subfloor, broken windows, and the in appropriate dimensioning on the windows (I.e. tapered windows) and Green Mold buildup in the basement. Warranty has been working on most of the issues but when we brought up the issue of mold they won’t repair it. It has been just three months for us living in this house and there is green mold. And when we looked up pictures from construction it seems the green mold existed even before closing. Even after providing evidence to ...

This experience has been absolutely terrible. The day that we closed on our house there was trash all over the front yard and brought the issue up to our project manager. The issue was never fixed and on top of that the walk through of the house before close, the house was not even cleaned. Drywall dust, paint splatters and trash was all through out the house. What was supposed to take 6 months ended up taking a year. Closing was rescheduled 6 times. It’s not so much the length of time that was bothersome, but the constant promises that were always broken. The customer service from this company is non-existent. From the top to the bottom they do not value their customer’s experience in the slightest. We had multiple issues with our foundation and basement during the building process caused by the field manager, and had to contact him first about it.
