The overall home buying experience was great with the exception of completion of the final walkthrough punch list. We live up north and Candice our Sales Agent kept us appraised of progress and sent pictures throughout the process. She was extremely helpful in coordinating things for us being our "boots on the ground". I was disappointed having to come back down to the house after the final walkthrough only to find several items not completed. This was my FIRST home buying experience and it went fairly easily. The sales team was exceptional, the loan team was okay, the building team was also fine. The loan team had some gaps in communication throughout the process due to their volume of applicants. The construction team also felt pressed for time and breezed through the inspection but they completed most of the adjustments.

If you don’t do any upgrades the quality of material used is very cheap. A lot of simple mistakes are made. Seems like they rush through the process of building these houses. In our experience we had a leak, excess foundation, solar panel box put on wrong, flooring was scratched, carpet was lumpy and you could see the seems, breakers tripping and paint that needed to be redone. They give you a matte finish which scratches and stains very easily. Overall I am happy with my home, just wish everything was done right from the start. First hand experience second hand love

Our closing date was changed twice due to missing electrical and gas meter. Moving my family from the far side of the state, made our experience even worse on so many levels. After the final walkthrough and after we moved in, we noticed a few items that still have not been addressed. For example, we have a temporary oven. Still waiting for the one we ordered, in the laundry room the wrong fuse amp was installed. Its supposed to be 20 amp instead of 15, therefore we haven't washed our clothes going 2 weeks! Not impressed with customer service and constantly having to remind people on how to do their jobs. Horrible at returning texts and phone calls. Disappointed because I thought Richmond was a good and reliable company.

Purchased the home last year, purchase was not very efficient because there was to many people involved. A lot of moving parts in the purchase, which was ok but person helping with purchase did not communicate with us. I had to do a lot of follow up calls to find out delays and problems with build. Home plans at Seasons at Green Valley Ranch by Richmond American Homes to be unique and spacious. Sara Jensen did an excellent job from start to finish. But after receiving the keys we ran into some issues and the wait time to resolve them was unfortunate. We still have them and hopefully soon can get them resolved. Other than that we love the area and overall style. Plus the overall feel and look to the home is great. Four weeks after closing, still waiting for repairs to be made

I wish the builder would pay more attention to the details and quality of work. I had unfinished doors and cabinets. The bathroom countertop was scratched quite badly. The rain gutter was missing, I had to point it out and then and it took 4 weeks to get them to install it. After four weeks, I'm still waiting for repairs to be made, such as replacing a damaged door weather strip.

There are lot of issues haven’t been resolved! I found many many sharp nails under the curtain.My kids were poked by them when stepped on the stair. The screen fell off from the window frame. The door got twisted shape. It’s a horrible house!

we love the city, the community, and the housing styles and brevarde. love our location but the home, the finishing, was rushed too much.. so many things are defective or not done correctly. a few major items also. some are very very negligent that should never have occured unless the team wasn't caring or paying attention. very unprofessional in the finishing items both inside and out. very difficult process to get corrected

The sales and escrow team were great, but the construction team not so much. I closed escrow a little over a month ago and have yet to get a response or warranty issue taken care of. The quality of work on the kitchen cabinets, the garage walls, and paint throughout the house is very poor. I’m still waiting on someone to acknowledge or resolve the concerns.

Horrible Experience

While everyone was “nice”, we had an overall horrible experience. From 3 different superintendents to a scam of an experience with Home American mortgage to endless lies and deception to over a month delay to then move in with electrical not working, 20 roof tiles broken, horrible craftsmanship to then no one caring and it taking weeks upon weeks to get responses until we went to corporate to now 2 months after we closed and still an outstanding list of 30+ issues with no resolution. Would avoid Richmond at all costs.

This was the worst experience in regard to communication period. Our agent Mayra shared no concern with my and my wife's concerns to the home purchase. She seemed simply satisfied to getting the signatures required and the deposits then after that she simply disappeared! She made numerous blunders. Not mistakes but huge blunders and wouldn't answer her phone or return messages as needed.
