- Sales agent cancelled our contract and falsely stated it was agreed upon by purchaser/seller. - We were provided 3 different start dates of construction in 6-month timeframe. Earnest was placed on July of '23. Build did not start until February of '24. - Our several requests for change in sales agent was ignored. - We've had to file a police report on their sales agent for harassment. - Sales agent stated our selected options were all in order. By far this has been the worse experience ever. The entire loan process was ridiculous and overkill, the house was filthy dirty when i received it, my fridge is missing a filter, my garbage disposal wasnt working and i had to pay out of pocket to fix it. I had beer bottles left in my backyards and still had some tape left from the marked areas that needed fixing. Very dissatisfied and the only reason that I finished the pricess waa because of my situation I was in. Beautiful homes but that’s all.

Told I could have fence when buying and when I followed procedure through HOA was told fences are not allowed. Covenant 6.15 on page 15 says fences are allowed. My well being and quality of life are diminished and I am sorry I bought here. The 60k I put down could have gone to more suitable place for my family. I am violated here and every time I walk by the model homes with the fence around them, I relive the violation.

Disappointing Experience with Richmond America

Our experience with Richmond America has been extremely disappointing, primarily due to being misled multiple times throughout the process. First, we were lied to about how the incentives work. Additionally, we were given an incorrect cash-to-close amount, which was nearly double what we were initially told. Despite having my child support amount accurately listed on all signed papers, I was treated with suspicion and accused of lying about it. I wouldn’t recommend buying a house with Richmond American. This has been the worst experience ever to buy a house. There was absolutely no verbal communication from finance at all. Every time I called no one answered the phone. They would barely communicate through email. I feel that they did not walk us through the process and nothing was explained. There's is nothing to highlight! From start to finish, I hard a terrible experience. From sales person, gallery appointment and superintendent. I've been in my home now 6 weeks and still waiting for things to be completed from my initial walk through. The sales agent is excellent, but unfortunately, the home is poorly built with numerous issues. Moreover, I discovered that the construction of the home did not adhere to building department codes.
