The Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area falls towards the western side of the preserve and is a great place to get up close to the Floridian wildlife.
The actual city forms at the amalgamation of Commercial Way and Cortez Boulevard. The Commercial Way is a continuation of State Route 19 and extends north towards Lake City and south towards Tampa. Spring Hills forms the metropolitan core for Weeki Wachee and its downtown is just 11 minutes away. You will find most modern amenities within a half-an-hour drive. The Coastal Way is the de-facto shopping mall for the region and has an equal number of retailers and restaurants.
